I don't know how I missed this, but the Micra is coming to Canada.

This is interesting. It definitely can be successful, but the most interesting thing about the Micra is that it starts at just under $10k. Yes, the Mirage does as well, but I have more confidence in the quality of the Micra. I'm truly curious though, I think it'll be a solid economy car.

I hope the collective body of Canada is ready for this automotive greatness.

Same here. I think there will be some interest for sure; more so in larger metro areas like Toronto and Montreal. I'm really curious to see the sales numbers though.

Man you guys are so lucky. Nissan really needs to sell it down here. The US would be a GREAT market for the Micra! We need a cheap new car that people can afford a new car.

I think there are definitely markets where the Micra would sell well in the US. I'm a bit surprised that it's a Canada-only rollout, although it wouldn't be the first time a manufacturer gave us a hatchback that the US didn't get (Mercedes-Benz B-Class, most notably).

OMG I'm so sad we never got the B-class or the Acura CSX or EL!

First generation EL was the best EL.

I haven't spotted one yet here in Montreal, but I'm sure they're out there. I'll keep my eyes open, it's only a matter of time.

I was actually just at the Nissan dealership and they had only 1 micra, it was an SV model(mid level) with auto. and by dumb luck there was a mirage(auto) parked at my apartment when I got home. I had a good look at both of them.

I'll tell you what the Micra looks way better built than the Mirage. The fact that they are asking $2500 more for a mirage than the Micra is an absolute joke. You would need to have something really wrong in the head to choose the Mirage over the Micra. The fuel economy alone is not enough to pay more for an inferior car. Real world economy should be pretty close between both cars.

The Micra they had in stock was $14,698.00 not a bad value for a car with A/C,Cruise,Bluetooth,Automatic transmission, keyless entry and more.

I'm pretty sure the Micra is the best value new car in Canada regardless of the trim level.

I'm not surprised that the Micra is of much better quality than the Mirage. Nissan has done a lot to make the Micra the best city car all over the world, so it makes sense that they'd be able to release the Micra at such a great value, even when taking safety standards into consideration (although this may be the reason the US doesn't get the Micra).

Also, the Micra is going to be a really good value used buy. I can see it becoming a popular teenage car in five years if Nissan sells enough of them.

It's such a bargain that I think that the Micra will be my next car. Makes me regret buying a my fusion last august.
